King Dog? 2021

An exhibition displaying research into a myth local to St Agnes Cornwall. This investigative project was created in collaboration with artist, Ross Sanders and supported the Black Dogs artist collective.

In the late 1960's a cult travelled from London to the Jericho Valley in St Agnes to bury a dog they seemingly worshiped. This dog grave has gone on to become a kind of myth to the people of West Cornwall,

with all manner of stories surrounding the site perpetuating the mystery further.

It was our intention to capture this discourse whilst also getting to the bottom of what exactly went on all those years ago.
